Marion Carre
Marion was born in Guernsey and lived all her life in Guernsey apart from a brief spell working in England.
On leaving school she joined the Gas Company as an office junior in the accounts department and in a few years progressed to Senior Accounting Machine Operator in NCR Accounting. She left to work in Bristol for a while. Shortly after returning to Guernsey she married and raised her children. During this time computers had taken over from accounting machines and she retrained in computer technology to take up a career again. Marion worked for a few years keeping the books of a small Guernsey company and was responsible for running the office in the absence of the manager who lived in Jersey. Looking for a new challenge she left to go into the Finance Industry. Marion worked for over 12 years in both the trust and fund sectors of the industry. She became a Senior Fund Administrator in a local bank and left in the summer of 2007 for a break and a career change.
Marion joined the Company Registry section of the Greffe in January of this year to help with the additional work load at this busy time of the year in preparation for the new electronic company registry system. Marion is looking forward to seeing the new online system in action.
