John Le Poidevin

Registry Manager (Operations)

John Le Poidevin

John Le Poidevin, 50, joined the Registry team to help form the Intellectual Property (IP) Office. This involved work with the administrative processes and the transfer of the IP function from the Greffe to the Commerce and Employment Department.

Setting up the IP Office was the forerunner of the similar transfer of responsibility for the larger Company Registry function. Following the initial policy, strategy and fees work, John has subsequently been involved in ensuring the office is built. This role has now developed into Office Management and Human Resources.

John was educated in Guernsey, and after the Grammar School, attended an Accountancy Foundation course at Plymouth Polytechnic following on from the Grammar School. A career in the Civil Service has been varied and involved progression though departments, including Education, Civil Service Board, Committee Secretariat and the Commerce and Employment Department.

Outside the office, John and Paula enjoy the company of their secondary school age boys, trips to France, a variety of sports and music and youth work at church.
