Emma was born in Worcester in 1973. Educated at the Grammar School Guernsey. She completed her A-levels in 1991 after which she went to work for (then) Barings Bank. This was not her most successful career choice and she left in 1992 to study a BTEC Heath Studies qualification.

In 1994 Emma joined the Civil Service and has worked for the Social Security Department and the Housing Department. She left the Civil Service in 2004 and became the Housing Services Manager for the Guernsey Housing Association.

In 2007, Emma left Guernsey Housing Association and, after a summer of chilling out and settling her daughter into school, joined Commerce and Employment on the Company Registry team.

Emma is currently studying for her Professional Certificate in Marketing and her ICSA Certificate

Emma has a daughter aged 6.
