Classification of Financial Product Companies

The Company Registrar has reviewed the definition of 'Financial Product Company' for the purposes of classification of companies for annual validation. This has been necessary to ensure full compliance with the original States Resolution in 2007 relating to the Guernsey Registry.

Accordingly, the Registrar has issued a revised set of regulations which provides the necessary clarification.

These revised regulations purely relate to the classification definitions. It should be noted that there is NO change to company annual validation fees - which remain at the level set out in the States Resolution of 2007.

Strike Off 2010

On 17 June 2010, the Registrar published a list of all those companies that have been listed for strike off as a result of their failure to file an annual validation by 31 January 2010.

Unless cause is shown to the contrary, these companies will be struck from the register 2 months from 17 June 2010.

Details of the listed companies can be found here
