This section of the website provides information regarding the Companies (Recognition of Auditors) Ordinance, 2010 which came into force on 5 April 2010, and the Recognised Auditors register.

Amendments to the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 have been made to introduce a system of registration, supervision and oversight of the auditors of Guernsey Companies which are listed on regulated stock exchanges in the European Union. The Commerce  and Employment Department is introducing this regime in order to achieve a recognition of equivalence under the European Union's Statutory Audit Directive (2006/43/EC).
